A Break In One And Several Places fluctuates between existing as a drawing and/or sculpture. A graphite coated wooden broom is split at its base as it sweeps multiple shards of glazed ceramic. Otherwise to be discarded, the porcelain and stoneware fragments were collected and meticulously individually covered with glazes that mimic the metallic nature of graphite. The broken broom is unable to properly sweep up the broken fragments and so both of them sit harmoniously stagnant in a state of despair/disrepair with the inability to fulfill their potential.
